Better Safe Than Sorry

This blog post is about the discipline to meditate.  Too many times I have heard someone express the liking of the idea to meditate, but they have too many excuses not to.

Understand that if your life is “hectic” right now, this is the best time to meditate. Your mind loves to be hectic. It gets addicted to it. And when things are hectic, your mind will creatively and trickily do things to make life even more hectic.

The mind is like a monkey. It will playfully swing from branch to branch looking for the ripe banana. Life doesn’t always have ripe bananas Guess what happens when the mind keeps looking but life doesn’t have ripe bananas available?

Hecticness

Be disciplined to make the time to meditate. It somehow magically opens up more time in your schedule and you’ll feel more energy to achieve your tasks.

You’ve got nothing to lose but hecticness!

  1. Meditation will provide you the entry to inner peace. You will feel more energetic, creative and relaxed. When you get all that out of taking half an hour to yourself it’s well worth the time. Instead of watching the morning news or having that extra cup of coffee, meditate. In the evening, pass up on that tv show, let someone else clean up after dinner and meditate. You owe it to yourself.
